CALIFORNIA BASEBALL & SOFTBALL SCHOOL

Mike Lamson started the California Baseball and Softball School in Rancho Cordova, California in 1981. The school has operated daily since that time. It is thought to be the second oldest and one of the largest and most successful in the country. We offer the most experienced and professional instruction in pitching, hitting, catching, and fielding for baseball and softball players in all of Northern California and the United States. During the past 25 plus years, thousands of young male and female baseball and softball pitcher, hitters, catchers, and fielders have received individual lesson instruction at our school. The success of our students over the past 25 years speaks for itself.
The California Baseball and Softball School has been a pioneer in the field of baseball and softball player training through the establishment of one of the first all indoor, year-around training facilities in the country. Its founder, Mike Lamson has a Masters Degree in Kinesiology and employs the principles of such in all that we do. His thesis was entitled “COMPARING GROUND REACTION FORCES OF TWO DIFFERENT UNDERHAND PITCHING STYLES AND THEIR EFFECT ON LINEAR WRIST VELOCITY AND ACCELERATION AT BALL RELEASE”. We have provided dozens of clinics for area Baseball Little Leagues and Softball Leagues in our area as well as having participated in clinics in several foreign countries. Mike Lamson has also been the principle pitching training instructor for the annual Kaiser Hospital Baseball Safety Clinic for the District 5 and District 54 Little Leagues.
